What better way to celebrate a new chapter than experiencing it together? On 17 July 2026, The Alif welcomed fans and media to MOMO’s Kuala Lumpur for an intimate listening party celebrating their second album, Antologi Sakit Otak.

According to the band, this album is a better version of themselves, from the songwriting, musical arrangements, and the stories they wanted to tell.

A little throwback to how I felt that night.

To be honest, we’re still new. We don’t really have much to offer yet, but not once did we feel out of place. Dari first step masuk venue sampai event habis, The Alif made everyone feel welcomed. And I think that’s what stuck with me the most.

I tak nampak empat orang yang terlalu obsessed dengan fame atau trying so hard to make it big.  What I see are four people who genuinely love music, four individuals who simply want to share what they have to say through this album. Because behind every track, there’s a different story, a different emotion, and a different piece of themselves waiting to be heard.

That’s probably what makes The Alif so special. They don’t just invite people to listen to their music, instead they invite people to be part of the experience.

Throughout the listening session, a few tracks immediately caught my attention. But if I had to choose just one, “Antologi Sakit Otak” would easily be my favourite. I don’t know if it’s just me, but this song literally screams future mosh pit anthem. I dah boleh imagine satu venue menyanyi sama-sama masa chorus masuk.

Although… I have a feeling “Obsessive Love Disorder” is going to be the crowd favourite. Maybe sebab… ramai yang boleh relate.

One thing that surprised me was when every single band member agreed that “Ya Ya Ya” was the hardest track to write and produce. So please, bila korang dengar album ni nanti, give that one your full attention.

The best part? The album is finally out on all streaming platforms, so korang dah boleh dengar sendiri.

And honestly… I don’t throw this statement around often, but Antologi Sakit Otak might just be one of the best local albums I’ve heard this year.

Lastly, congratulations to The Alif on the release. We genuinely wish nothing but the best for the band, and semoga album ni sampai kepada lebih ramai pendengar yang appreciate every story behind it.

And if one listen isn’t enough, which I don’t think it will be so please catch them live.

Because believe me,

The Alif doesn’t treat you like fans.

They make you feel like family.

See you at the barricade.
